Please tell us about your memory or experience with us. We welcome stories from everyone involved in our programs – youths, coach/mentors, parents, victims, volunteers and community partners.

We’d love to hear what stands out for you from your involvement with Youth Justice CommitteesIn the Lead  or NGAGE.  How were you changed? What was different after your experience compared to before? What makes you smile when you think about it? What did you learn?

It can be helpful to others who have had similar experiences when you share your insights about how you were affected.  It can be powerful to read about someone who has dealt with similar situations, especially when young people have used this experience to incorporate positive changes in their lives.

The stories on this site are actual accounts of individuals who took part in Youth Justice Committees or In the Lead. To protect identities of all parties involved we have changed the names, as well as identifiable places and circumstances.

We invite you to submit your story (submit your story). Your memory or story will help others to have a deeper understanding of young people who are vulnerable to risk-taking in their communities. It will show how community volunteers make a difference. The story you submit may inspire or allow others learn from your story. While we read and appreciate all stories that are submitted, we may not be able to publish all of them. If we publish your story, it will be edited for grammar, spelling and may be shortened in length. Your privacy is important to us, so we will change the names and locations used in your story.

In your email, please indicate if you will allow your story to be used in the public promotion of Calgary Youth Justice Society, in any form of media (e.g. web, print, TV, radio). If it’s just for us on staff, that’s okay too!
