Yet the people of In the Lead had reached out to me and pulled me out of that rut I was in even while a whole pandemic was going on. “Often I think that the words Youth Justice Committee can be very intimidating to both youth and parents. They’ve found themselves in a situation that they didn’t think they would be in – In most of my cases, even if there was a rough start, there has been a deep appreciation for the program and the personalized approach it takes to help the individual youth. I had one mom speak to me after the file close and say ‘thank you for hearing and helping my daughter.’ That acknowledgement that they feel supported is amazing.”
