Volunteers play an integral role at Calgary Youth Justice Society through their gifts of time, energy and skills. By offering the creativity and compassion of your team, your organization can make a difference in the lives of young people.
Most group opportunities are a short term, one-time event. Volunteering with In the Lead is unique because we provide the chance to build relationships and offer one on one, longer term mentorship to young people with multiple barriers. This is connecting with a human and building community internally at your company and externally, where families and youth need it most. It is not only professional, it is also personal.
We call the experience a shared leadership journey. Volunteer Coaches often report that they got involved to change the life of a young person and they are the one changed, connected and with a completely new perspective on connection and mentorship.
